Police Blotter: Man Tries To Leave Wal-Mart With New Outfit

Security personnel at the Brainerd Wal-Mart said they saw a man putting a new pair of blue jeans over his gray pants.

Ronnie Devon Dunnigan, 46, was stopped by several of the security guards.

They noticed he also had on a new pair of shoes. But no one saw him putting those on, so they said he could not be charged.

But he was cited for theft under $500 for the blue jeans.

At Midas Muffler on South Market Street, a bay door was kicked in.

The thief got $60 in loose change.

Damage to the bay door was $400.

At the Blue Orleans restaurant on Amnicola Highway, the management said an employee who was terminated went straight to the office and deleted all the recipes from the computer.

He also took the company cookbook, which is valued at $5,000.

The manager said he tried to stop him, but he got in his car and almost hit him as he left.

Mary Garth of St. Elmo said her husband, Harold, emptied their bank account and took off in her car.

Police are on the lookout for a 2003 Land Rover.

A woman on Brown's Ferry Road said she had a feeling that someone had been in her home, though she had not left home and the door was locked.

She said the harness is missing on her dog.

She also said she is on Xanax.

Lavender Harris of Grove Street said he parked his car, then returned later to discover it was gone.

Police notified him he had parked in a handicapped spot, and it had been towed.

Shanell Avery of Laura Street said she was in an argument with her boyfriend, Rodrick Smith.

The fuss was over his other girlfriend.
