Ben Jukich (2-2) was the hard luck loser Friday. He went 7 1/3 innings giving up just 5 hits and 2 earned runs.
Fielding was again a problem for the 2008 Lookouts as they dropped another game to Tennessee Friday, 3-2.

The Smokies broke a scoreless game with a single run in the fourth inning but added a run in each of the final two innings.

What turned out to be the winning run in the ninth was an unearned run.

First baseman Tonys Gutierrez leadoff double in the fourth was the only hit off Mitch Atkins until the eighth inning.

An eighth inning pinch hit single by B.J. Szymanski drove in Chattanooga's first run.

The Smokies took a 3-1 lead in their half of the eighth scoring thanks to a misplayed foul ball and a fielding error.

Down by two in the bottom of the ninth, the Lookouts made it close. Chris Valaika got a one out double and Gutierrez walked. Jerry Gil fanned but Sean Henry knocked in Valaika with a single to right. Cody Strait struck out to strand the tying run at third much to the disappointment of the 5,775 fans in attendance.
