I am ashamed to tell people that I live in Rossville, Ga., because it is the most revolting town in Georgia.
It has nothing but old dilapidated buildings, Bingo parlors, lottery outlets galore and beer joints from out of the past.
It must have at least 10 or 15 pawn shops, and there is a used car lot every 20 feet or so. It has a huge ugly building in the old Peerless building that will never be made into anything and needs to be done away with.
You can go to LaFayette, Ringgold, Chickamauga and Dalton and their towns are nice and clean and attractive but Rossville, Ga., is a disgrace in its appearance.
As long as the town officials of Rossville keep their heads buried in the mud, Rossville will always be the laughing stock of Georgia with no hope for its future.
I forgot to mention there is also a car junk lot located on Highway 27 across from Lane Funeral home that is just a start of the ugly stretch of buildings that extend from Lane Funeral Home all the way to the K-mart store in Fort Oglethorpe. No wonder people are not moving to Rossville. Who would want to live in a town such as an eyesore like Rossville?
