Martha Ellen Brown, 76, of Crossville, Tenn., formerly of Pikeville, died at an area nursing home on Friday, May 9, 2008, after a lengthy illness.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ersie Troglin Hitchcox; brother, Edward Lee.
She is survived and will be sorely missed by her two sons, Rickey (Patsy) Brown and B.J. Brown, both of Pikeville; and her daughter, Deborah Brown, Crossville; sister, Iwilla Moody, Ypsilanti, Mi.; grandchildren, Daniel (Ginessa) Brown, Portland, Tn., Laura (David) Campbell, Pikeville; and one great-grandchild, Coleman Campbell.
A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel of Pikeville Funeral Home at 11 a.m. CDT on Monday, with Brother Doyle Ashburn officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-9 p.m. CDT on Sunday.
