Bobby Linam, 68, died on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at his residence.
A resident of the North Georgia-Chattanooga area most of his life, he was a former horse farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Shook Linam; parents, Frank and Mae Linam; sister, Grace Poore; and brothers, Avery, Tom and Herchel Lowe Linam.
He is survived by his fiancé, Betty Newell, of Summerville; four children, Suzy Wallin, of Summerville, David Linam, of Trion, Ga., Bobby “Pete” Linam Jr., of Trion, and Karen Baker, of Summerville; two sisters, Rosie Sharp, of Trion, and Birdia Cantrell, of Daytona, Fl.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow at Maddox Cemetery in Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. on Sunday, all day Monday and from 8 a.m. on Tuesday until funeral time at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, LaFayette Chapel, LaFayette.
