Ramsey To Attend Read 20 Recognition Programs

County Mayor Claude Ramsey is scheduled to attend Read 20’s Recognition Programs for students reading on grade level on Friday.

County Mayor Ramsey will visit East Ridge Elementary School at 11:30 a.m. and McBrien Elementary School at 1 p.m.

The purpose of the Read 20 Recognition Program is to acknowledge all elementary students who are reading on or above grade level.

Each student reading on or above grade level will receive a certificate of achievement.

Each student reading on or above grade level will also receive a grade level paperback book given to his/her school in his/her honor.

Students not reading on grade level will receive a certificate of encouragement.

County Mayor Claude Ramsey will be present at as many celebrations as possible during the three-four weeks allotted (April 28th through May 21st)
Each School Board member and county commissioner for each school will also be invited to the celebrations to hand out the certificates to the students.
