The manager at the Harriet Tubman unit of the Boys' and Girls' Club, Pauline ArRahmaan, presents Joli Anderson with an over-sized stuffed heart necklace as she prepares to give her a hug. Ms. Anderson, director of Baylor's Community Service Program, and her students have been tutoring youngsters at the One Room Drop-In School for more than a decade. To show their appreciation, the ORDIS students and staff treated the Baylor crew to a special celebration complete with refreshments, certificates of appreciation and gifts for the graduating seniors. Located on the campus of Harriet Tubman Development, the One Room Drop-In School offers free after-school tutoring, GED classes and activities for the elderly who live in the surrounding community.
