Dalton Police Officers Receive Awards From MADD
posted May 13, 2008

Four officers from the Dalton Police Department received awards from Mothers Against Drunk Driving for their efforts in fighting drivers driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs during the year of 2007. MADD asks yearly that law enforcement agencies from across Georgia to nominate officers from their department for their efforts in DUI Enforcement.

This year the officers receiving the awards were OFC William Bryan, OFC Ryan Shope, PFC Chris Tucker and OFC James Zahn. The officers were recognized at the MATTEN II meeting in April.

The Dalton Police Department would like to remind motorists that the department has a Zero Tolerance Policy for drivers driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Also, please obey all posted speed limits and buckle to reduce serious injury crashes.
