Archie M. Green, 77, of Apison, died on Monday, May 12, 2008, at his residence.
A resident of the Apison area for the past 64 years, he was a native of Blue Ridge, Ga. He was a former employee of Hartford Carpet where he worked for 25 years and was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Apison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arch and Eliza Jane Green; sister, Della Cartabianca; and brother, Marvin Green.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Hullender Green, of Apison, Tn.; three children, Dennis Green, of McDonald, David Green, of Apison, and Barbara Ann McCoy, of Ooltewah; two sisters, Alice Curtis, of Winston, Ga., and Manda Lee Early, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Apison with Pastor Peter Read officiating.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold, Ga.
