Kenneth Simpson has dropped out of the District 4 County School Board race.
Bud Knowles, election administrator, said Mr. Simpson sent a letter on Thursday saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.
He has been a parent leader at Howard School.
That leaves just incumbent Debra Matthews and challenger Gregg Juster in the race.
