The Friends of Harrison Bay State Park are hosting a Fundfest at the Park on Saturday, May 24 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
The purpose of the Fundfest is to recruit members for the Friends of the Park group. This group is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise money for park projects, educate park users regarding conservation, and encourage use of the park and all of its facilities.
Activities for children will include a cakewalk, games led by the park rangers, and face painting. In the evening from 7-10 p.m., there will be live musical entertainment for all in the park pavilion. Included in the musical entertainment will be the Sum R Fun Barbershop Quartet, the Music Masters featuring Billy and Gary Denham, Bobby Beard playing the steel guitar, and Linda Graham singing Southern Gospel.
There will be a Coca-Cola wagon serving hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and cotton candy.
