Impeach The State Employees Association Board
posted May 18, 2008

The Tennessee State Employees Association has failed to inform its membership about the amendment to civil service regulations. The change is targeted at Children's Services today, but, make no mistake, your department, indeed all of state government, will follow.

It is now time to impeach the TSEA Board for the following reasons:

1. Failure to inform the membership. 2. Failure to rally the membership and organize against the amendment.
3. No opposition or injunction has been filed or discussed.

It is time to clean house. It is my belief that TSEA agreed to cooperate with the administration. They sold out the membership.

It is time to form a more perfect association. Chilren's Services is operating on a management style that permeates fear throughout the system, with internal affairs being used to harass and intimidate workers in my opinion.

TSEA has failed to protect and serve its members. I want 30-plus years of monthly dues returned. If not, let's get rid of the board and start preparation for a major class action lawsuit.

Sherman E. Matthews Jr.
