Here is what happening at Walker County schools:
May 20-23 – Walker County Schools will hold Awards Days this week. Contact your student's school for schedules and details.
May 23 – Cherokee Ridge Elementary invites parents of fifth graders to an award ceremony and reception beginning at 8:30 a.m. For more information, call (706) 375-9831.
May 23 – North LaFayette Elementary invites parents and family of fifth grade students to an awards ceremony and reception at 10 a.m. For more information, call (706) 638-1869.
May 23 – Last day of school for students in Walker County Schools.
May 23 – Graduation for LaFayette High will be held Jack King Stadium at 8 p.m. or in the gym in case of rain. For information, call (706) 638-2342.
May 24 – Ridgeland High School will hold graduation services at 11 a.m. at Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga. For more information, call (706) 820-9063.
May 26 – Memorial Day will be observed as a holiday for Walker County Schools.
May 27-29 – Inservice days for Walker County Schools
May 29 – LaFayette Middle School will host a retirement reception for Donna Lampkin at 11:30 a.m. For more information, call Jan Waldrop (706) 638-6440.
June 16 – The Walker County Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. at the Board of Education Building, 201 S. Duke St., LaFayette.
