What About Enterprise South For The Water Park? - And Reply
posted May 19, 2008

OK, let's talk about the water park. From what I read, it will not take place in East Ridge, and here is why, or I should say this is what I think is going on.

The city of Chattanooga will not get tax dollars out of it being in East Ridge, so if I were to look close at where the water park might end up at it would be in Chattanooga. Don't you know they want it just as bad as East Ridge?

Now let's see where a good site would be - like the old steel plant on Broad Street. That could work, but let's see, parking could be a drawback.

OK, you got it - Enterprise South . Why not, they can't get an auto plant.

Mr.Parrott, you are lacking in facts about a subject you know nothing about.

First, Splash Valley will be built and in East Ridge. Due to the laundry list of requirements by every government agency known to man the developers made a smart decision to back off due to the very short timeframe of this season. Think of it as "would you open a Christmas tree store the week before Christmas." I don't think so.

The city of East Ridge, its citizens and businesses are ready and willing to accept that decision. You would be wise to do also.

Enterprise Park will serve its purpose and the benefits from it will be a blessing to all in this area.

Rather than trying to be funny, try to be positive and constructive. That will benefit all.
