After a high scoring game Sunday, normal returned to AT&T Field with another victory for Chattanooga before a crowd of 3,090. The Lookouts beat the Mississippi Braves Monday night, 5-1, to take the series 3-games-to-2.

Ben Jukich (4-2) threw six innings yielding six hits and a run; he walked two and struck out eight. The only run Jukich gave was a sixth inning solo homer to Quentin Davis.

Chattanooga scored four runs in the third. Jukich had a one-out single and scored Shaun Cumberland’s seventh homer of the year. After Justin Turner grounded out, Chris Valaika and Tonys Gutierrez reached on singles. They scored on Eric Eymann’s double; Eymann has 10 RBI in the past two days.

With none out and the bases loaded in the eighth, Chattanooga’s Danny Dorn hit into a double play – second to home to first. Following an intentional walk to load the bases, catcher Chris Kroski was hit by a pitch scoring the fifth run.

Carlos Fisher, whose previous relief appearance against Mississippi two days ago resulted in four earned runs in one inning, was effective this go round. He did not give up a hit in two scoreless innings.

Josh Roenicke, in a non-save situation, pitched the ninth inning.
