With Cake, Ice Cream, Music and Noisemakers

Creative Discovery Museum turns 13-years-old this May. Everyone is invited to help the Museum celebrate its birthday on Saturday with cake, ice cream, music and noisemakers.
Kids can make crazy party hats and noisemakers in preparation for the cake cutting at 1 p.m. on the plaza. Free cake and ice cream will be available until it's all gone.
"Everyone loves a party,” said Jayne Griffin, education director for Creative Discovery Museum. “Creative Discovery Museum's 13th birthday party is a great way for families to spend the day together on Memorial Day weekend. We'll have all the things you have at a birthday: cake, ice cream, music, noisemakers. When you add that to the Clifford exhibit, it makes quite a day.”
The Museum's newest temporary exhibit ADVENTURES WITH CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG! opened last week and continues through Sept. 28. Inspired by Scholastic Entertainment’s top-rated TV show on PBS Kids, this exhibit offers numerous immersive “paws-on” adventures that reinforce “Clifford’s Big Ideas”—10 simple tangible life lessons designed to help young children navigate their world: Share, Play Fair, Have Respect, Work Together, Be Responsible, Be Truthful, Be Kind, Believe in Yourself, Be a Good Friend and Help Others. Board the Birdwell Island Ferry and journey to the World of Clifford. The exhibit is sponsored locally by Little Debbie Snacks, Capital Toyota, Toyota of Cleveland, Regions Bank and WTCI.
On Saturday Creative Discovery Museum is open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. These are the Museum's regular summer hours: Monday through Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday: noon - 5 p.m. Tickets are $8.95 for children and adults.
Beginning Saturday, June 21, the Museum will be open everyday (Monday through Sunday) from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Regular hours will resume on Monday, Aug. 11.
