There will be a free reception from 5-7 p.m. at WTCI, 7540 Bonnyshire Dr. During the reception, Mr. Blenko will be on hand to answer questions about the enduring quality and popularity of Blenko Glass, officials said. He will also be signing pieces available at the reception as thank you gifts for your support.
Members are encouraged to make reservations for the reception by Wednesday, June 11, at 702-7819.
There will be a special broadcast of "Blenko: the Spirit of American Stained Glass" at 8 p.m. Mr. Blenko will be in the studio live talking about his craft and sculptures, as well as presenting items available during the membership event during the evening that will be available as thank you gifts.
This special examines how Blenko glass has influenced American stained glass and art glass. It includes interviews with some of America's stained-glass artists.
