Boyd-Buchanan Plays Top Ranked Knox Catholic In Semifinals

Chattanooga powers Baylor and McCallie will both be in action in the two-day tournament at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex.
Baylor and McCallie tied in their regular-season game and the Red Raiders beat McCallie, 2-0, in the Division II East District championship.
Both teams won sub-state games to advance to the four-team state tournament.
Joining the Chattanooga private schools will be Father Ryan and Christian Brothers.
All four schools have been nationally ranked in the studentsportssoccer.com Fab 50 latest poll produced by rivals.com.
Father Ryan is ranked seventh and Christian Brothers 14th.
Baylor and McCallie are ranked 20th and 21st, respectively.
Pope John Paul II is ranked 38th.
In the state rankings, Father Ryan is first, Christian Brothers second, McCallie third and Baylor fourth.
Christian Brothers dominated Pope John Paul last week, 6-1.
One of Baylor's two loses was to Father Ryan. The Red Raider lost to Father Ryan, 3-0, in the region tournament championship.
Baylor's other loss was to Knox Catholic.
Baylor is coming off a Division II state championship last year where the Red Raiders beat Father Ryan in the semifinals and Christian Brothers in the final.
McCallie beat Pope John Paul II, 2-1, in the Division II seeding game and then beat St. Benedict 5-2 in their sub-state game.
This will be the first year of the new A and AA Division II format.
Semifinals will be played on Thursday and finals on Friday.

Division II Class AA:
McCallie vs Father Ryan 4:30 p.m.
Baylor vs Christian Brothers 7 p.m.
Championship is schedule for Friday at 2:30 p.m.
Division I Class A/AA
Boyd-Buchanan vs Knox Catholic 6:30 p.m.
Championship is scheduled for Saturday at noon.
