Let this be a warning to those who travel U.S. Highway 411 that the town of Benton, Tn., is a speed trap.
The 55 mph sign soon melts into a 40 mph sign...very quickly.
The town of Benton is generally supported by the revenue generated by the Benton Police Department's use of the radar gun.
Just a warning. If you can avoid this town...do so.

One speeding ticket (or any ticket for that matter) in 31 years of driving; guess where? You got it - Benton, Tn.
I now avoid Benton if at all possible.
