She drew Serena Williams in the first round of the French Open, and lost 6-2, 6-1.
And she also revealed to reporters that she has posed for the August issue of Playboy magazine.
Harkleroad played tennis briefly for Chattanooga Christian School and then trained trained at a Florida academy.
She turned pro before she was 16, then later retired after several injuries.
She returned to the pro circuit and has won almost $1 million in her still-young career.
Now 23, she is divorced and said recently she was living in California with her boyfriend.
She told reporters Sunday she died to pose nude while she was on a three-week vacation and got the offer.
She said she is proud of her body and wants to represent the female athlete.
She said she will be the first tennis player to appear in Playboy.
