A vacant modular home was destroyed by fire on Hickory Valley Road early Saturday morning.
At 12:15 a.m., the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to 2834 Hickory Valley Road in the Tyner area. Upon arrival of the first fire companies, a modular home was reported to be fully involved. Firefighters worked to quickly bring the fire under control.
The residence was supposed to be uninhabited. However, there were reports that the structure could have been occupied. Firefighters made a thorough search of the structure and were unable to find any victims.
The structure is considered to be a total loss.
The official cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Chattanooga Fire Department was assisted by the Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County EMS.
