Crime Stoppers: Armed Robbery At Taco Bell
posted June 25, 2008

Crime Stoppers is looking for two black males who are responsible for holding up the Taco Bell at 7796 East Brainerd Road and may be responsible for other holdups in that area.

On June 10, employees of the Taco Bell told police that two black males armed with a shotgun and wearing bandanas over their faces entered the business and demanded money from the cash register and safe.

The first suspect was armed with a shotgun, which he aimed at the employees and demanded they give him the money. He then ordered them to lie on the floor. The manager, who was in the office, said the suspects then came to him, pointed the shotgun at him and threatened to shoot him if he did not open the safe. The first suspect then struck the manager in the head with the gun.

The first suspect is approximately 6’, in his mid 20s, skinny and is dark-skinned. He was wearing black Air Force One tennis shoes, light-colored shorts, a blue baseball jacket and a red bandana over his face.

The second suspect is 5’5", 200 pounds, brown skinned, early to mid 20’s, heavy built, and was wearing white low Air Force One tennis shoes, a gray hooded sweatshirt and jean shorts.

Just after this robbery, officers were called to the Subway on East Brainerd Road and were told that two black males came into the store and began asking suspicious questions about when the business closed and asked the clerk if he was all alone. Subway provided video surveillance of the suspects and detectives believe they are the suspects from the Taco Bell robbery.

To report information on this crime call Crime Stoppers at 698-3333. The confidential call could result in a cash reward up to $1,000.
