Resident Trapped As High Winds Send Tree Onto House posted June 28, 2008 High winds caused a tree to fall onto a house at 2102 Mae Dell Road, trapping the resident inside on Saturday. Police and fire personnel responded to the home around 7 p.m. and were able to safely remove Wanda Chandler from the back area of the house. Due to heavy structural damage, the house is now uninhabitable. The exact amount of damage has not yet been determined. The house is a rental property and at the time of the incident, the owner was not on the scene. Ms. Chandler will seek shelter with nearby relatives. |
