Stoker, Dewey Franklin Sr. (Kensington)

Dewey Franklin Stoker Sr., 84, died on Monday, June 30, 2008.

He was born in Kindricks Switch, Ga., to the late Robert Lee and Lillian Judy Brown Stoker, and was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Gibson; brothers, Jake, Vernon, and A.J. "Red" Stoker.

Dewey was member of Cooper Heights Church of God, Kensington, Ga., and co-owner of Stoker Lumber Co. for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Katherine Loyne Wilson Stoker; and sons, Dewey (Patsy) Stoker Jr., David Stoker, all of Kensington, and Samuel Lee Stoker, of Chattanooga; sister, Katherine Guthery; and brother, Harold Stoker, both of Kensington; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Millican officiating.

His family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
