UTC rising senior Jonathan Hodge shot 139 (-2) over two days at Pinehurst in the 108th North South U.S. Amateur tournament.
Hogde will move on as the No. 6 seed for match play in one of the top amateur events in the country.
He shot a 68-71 three under to finish in fifth place.
Hodge will have to negotiate six rounds of match play to win the title.
