CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Lookouts rallied overcoming a five-run deficit to tie the game in the eighth but ultimately succumbed to an 8-7 loss to the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx Tuesday night at AT&T Field.

The Diamond Jaxx jumped out in front of the Lookouts, 2-0, in the second frame.

Chattanooga halved their deficit in the third on an RBI double to center by Justin Turner.

West Tennessee augmented their lead in fourth by scoring three runs. A throwing error by third baseman Drew Anderson also contributed to scoring.

The Diamond Jaxx stretched their lead to 6-1 in the sixth. The effect of that run was erased in the bottom portion of the inning by the Lookouts. Shaun Cumberland blasted a triple to begin the inning and promptly scored on a Chris Valaika ground out.

With every advancement by the Lookouts in the early and middle innings, West Tennessee quickly countered, and the seventh inning was no exception. The Diamond Jaxx led, 7-2.

Chattanooga came roaring back to tie the game in the eighth inning.
- With one out, Tonys Guiterrez hit a sac fly to bring Chris Valaika.
- With two outs and the bases empty, Eric Eymann singled, Michael DeJesus walked, and Justin Turner was hit by pitch to load the bases.
- Marwin Vega gave up a grand slam home run to Danny Dorn over the wall in right center field to tie the game.

Catcher Adam Moore broke the tie with a game-winning solo shot in the ninth off of Pedro Viola (1-5).

Shawn Kelly retired the side in the ninth to notch his second save of the season for the Diamond Jaxx.
