Every month the Riverwalk Birding Club sponsors a "Shot of the Month" photo competition. Then the winner is selected by allowing the public to vote on Chattanoogan.com Outdoors.
The winner has now been declared. Organizer Harold Sharp said, "Congratulations to Charles and Dreama Dean as winners of the RWBC June SOTM Award for their great photo. We had another very close vote with The Strong Survive at 39 votes (27%) and Open Wide with 37 votes. Both are outstanding photo's that show nature as it happens, both food for baby birds. We wonder how many viewers felt sorry for the rabbit but did not feel sorry for the dragonfly?"
