Camilio Vazquez pitched for the 2007 Chattanooga team but has been pitching at High-A Sarasota.
After dropping a heart breaker Tuesday night, 8-7, the Lookouts bounced back big time with an 11-5 triumph over West Tennessee.

Recent callup, Camilio Vazquez (1-0) picked up the win.

Chattanooga had two big rallies en route to the win.

West Tennessee took the early lead in the top of the second with a solo shot from Jon Nelson; however, Chattanooga scored six runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead.

With two outs, a walk to Sean Henry began the damage. Justin Turner followed with two-run shot to give the Lookouts the lead. Eric Eymann followed with a double, and Thomas Collaro induced a walk to reach first. A Danny Dorn single prolonged the inning and gave the Lookouts another run. A throwing error by shortstop Mark Kiger loaded the bases. Singles from Shaun Cumberland and Craig Tatum brought home the three runners and stretched the Lookouts’ lead to 6-0.

West Tenn jumped back in the game in the sixth by scoring three runs, highlighted by a Johan Limonta two-run shot.

Doubles by Craig Tatum and Sean Henry created another run for the Lookouts in the sixth.

Another rally in the seventh inning ensured that the Lookouts would stay comfortably ahead.

Dorn began the inning by reaching first on a hit by pitch. Chris Valaika pushed Dorn to second with a single. Tatum followed with a double to bring home Dorn. A Tonys Gutierrez hit by pitch loaded the bases, and singles from Henry and Turner plated three more runs. The Lookouts now held an 11-4 lead.

The Diamond Jaxx added a superfluous run in the ninth on a Matt Mangini RBI single.

Camilo Vazquez, who made his 2008 Lookouts’ debut, earned the win by throwing five innings of one-run ball. He surrendered four hits and a walk, while striking out five.

Ryan Ketchner (6-5) took the loss for the Diamond Jaxx. In 5.1 innings of work, he yielded seven runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks. He struck out three during his outing.
