Stancil, Mary E. Volunteered For Ronald McDonald House posted July 2, 2008 Mary E. Stancil, 76, of Chattanooga and Jacksonville, Florida, died on June 30, at Community Hospice McGraw Center in Jacksonville after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude E. Stancil, Jr. and her parents, Julius and Dora Keller. After retiring from Mueller Company, she volunteered tirelessly at the Ronald MacDonald House and the Inner City Mission at First Centenary United Methodist Church in Chattanooga. When in Jacksonville, she continued that tireless volunteer spirit at Sabal Palm Elementary and Tree Hill Nature Center. Mary is survived by her daughter, Kim of Jacksonville, Fl.; her brothers, Julius (Luverne) Keller and Victor (Jean) Keller; sisters, Margie Korus and Margaret (Joe) Baczyk, all of San Antonio, Tx.; brother-in-law, Don (Cathy) Stancil, and sister-in-law, Margaret (Ed) Robinette of Chattanooga; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed not only by her family, but a host of loving friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Chattanooga Funeral Home on Moore Road. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Ronald MacDonald House of Chattanooga.
