Outstanding Home School Students Receive Honors

Abigail Marie Hipp, daughter of Terry and Rene’ Hipp of Chattanooga, and Spencer Kyle Johnson, son of Allen and Sherry Johnson of Signal Mountain, were recently honored in Nashville by the Tennessee Home Education Association and at the region-wide Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Home Education Association graduation ceremony.

At the graduation ceremony, Tn. State Rep. Richard Floyd presented both graduates with a Tennessee House of Representatives Joint Resolution of the 105th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, with the Senate concurring, commending the students on their impressive achievements.

Miss Hipp will be attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville this fall where she has been awarded the Volunteer Scholarship. Mr. Johnson will be attending Houghton College where he has been selected for the First Year Honors Program which includes study in Europe.
