Menifee Charged In Fire Bombings posted July 2, 2008
A joint investigation with the ATF led law enforcement officers to a residence where seven Molotov cocktails were found, police said. Menifee was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he will be held on outstanding state warrants. Other charges are pending. A joint investigation led to the detainment of Menifee in the arson fire bombings on several residences last week after an early morning stabbing left a Chattanooga man dead in East Lake Courts. The probe involved the Chattanooga Police Department, the Chattanooga Fire Department, the ATF, the FBI and the Tennessee Bomb and Arson Agency. Earlier Wednesday night, ATF agents said they were interviewing "a subject who may possibly have information that may lead to the recovery of evidence of last week's crimes." |
