Bice, Edna Jewel posted July 2, 2008
She enjoyed time spent as team mom and den mother in youth sports and scouting programs in the Brainerd area. She was an active member of PTO organizations at Sunnyside Elementary School, Brainerd Junior and Senior High Schools and Soddy-Daisy High School. She was in the first group of patrol mothers commissioned by Mayor Ralph Kelley in 1966. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Soddy-Daisy and an employee of the Soddy-Daisy Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Suzanne Cooper Reeves and Ed Jack Reeves; her husband of 53 years, Ronald H. Bice Sr. and her sister, Era Mae Coffman. She is survived by two sons, Ronald “Butch” H. Bice Jr. (Anita) and Randy Bice (Sheila); five grandchildren, Charles E. Bice, Rachael E. Bice, Robert Cooper Bice, Sarah E. Bice and Mason A. Bice; one great-grandchild, Damia Hope; two sisters, Opal R. Coffman and Virginia R. Tiffman; many nieces and nephews along with loving friends. Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood South Memory Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
