Shirley Jane Smalling, 75, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2008.
She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Shirley loved cooking and gardening. She always put her family first and loved everyone she came in contact with.
Survivors include the love of her life for 55 years, Charlie Edwin Smalling; daughters, Cathy herbst and Candy Williams; grandsons, Conner and Chase Williams and brother, Robert J. Irby.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Ted Painter officiating at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel, 601 Ashland Terrace.
