Claude Ramsey On Jim Cobb: "I Hope He Gets Beat" posted July 16, 2008 County Mayor Claude Ramsey on Wednesday criticized House District 31 Rep. Jim Cobb of Rhea County for his vote on the BEP formula and said, "I hope he gets beat." Rep. Cobb is opposed by Jim Vincent of Hixson, the former District 31 representative. Mr. Ramsey was at a County Commission meeting discussing how he had two main goals this term, including getting the BEP formula changed. He said a vote by Rep. Cobb against the change if his side had prevailed "would have cost this county $12 million and cost his home county $1.5 million." |
