Police Blotter: Man Robbed Of Money, Clothes, Shoes posted July 16, 2008 A man said after he met a white female at La Marcena 2 bar, he went by to get some money, then he wound up getting robbed by the woman and another man. He said his clothes and shoes were taken in the process. Garcia Florentino said he and the woman left the bar around 2 a.m. and went in a red Mustang convertible to a friend's house in East Lake to get the money to buy alcohol. He said they picked up a white male and then went to a gas station on Rossville Boulevard. He said the woman and man then ordered him to give them the money, and they also took his clothes and shoes before driving off in the convertible. The man said he began walking home to Dalton, and was stopped by a Catoosa County Sheriff's deputy, who gave him some pants. He was then taken back to the bar. Florentino told Chattanooga Police he did not want to prosecute. He said he just wanted a ride home to Dalton. * * * A man and woman on Wilder Street said they saw a small black truck pull up to a vacant house. Two black males and the black female driver all got out. They climbed under the house and came out with two old push lawn mowers. They put them in the truck and drove off. * * * A Gadd Road woman said she heard a crash at the front of her duplex. Jean McWilliams said she went out and found that someone had rolled a large truck tire down a hill into the front of her home. A second tire hit a nearby car belonging to Carolyn McCrary and did minor damage to the rear of the vehicle. * * * Jason Phillips told officers his girlfriend got mad because she thought he was seeing a woman down the street. He said Denynese D. Tillison took out after him with a kitchen knife and also threw a flower pot at him. Police said the boyfriend had puncture wounds on his left hand and right arm. Ms. Tillison was charged with aggravated domestic assault. * * * Thieves got in past a gate at Ken Smith Auto Parts on Jersey Pike. They took about 60 used auto batteries that were stacked on pallets. * * * Clifford March was spotted on S. Kelly Street standing by a car. As police approached, the vehicle drove off. March was searched and a plastic baggy with four crack cocaine rocks in it was found. March said he was "trying to make a little money." He was charged with possession of cocaine for resale. * * * Officers responded to a report of a black male lying on the sidewalk at 801 Broad St. Patrick Hartman said he was just taking a nap. |
