Lookout Mountain, Bradley Central National In Dixie Youth Semis

Lookout Mountain in the 11-12s and Bradley County National in the 9-10s will play at 2 p.m. today in semifinal action of the Dixie Youth Baseball state tournament.

11-12s on Lookout Mountain
Host and once beaten Lookout Mountain faces unbeaten and defending state champion Goodlettsville American at Senter Field, followed by unbeaten Goodlettsville National and once beaten Madisonville at 4 p.m.

If the two Goodlettsville teams win this afternoon then they advance to the 2-out-of -3 format starting Saturday at noon at Senter Field. If either or both Goodlettsville teams lose in today's afternoon games, then another game will be played tonight to determine Saturday's final pairings.
Saturday finals at Senter Field are noon and 2:30 p.m. with the if necessary game scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

In Friday's action, Lookout Mountain came from behind three times to defeat Lewis County, 11-10. Lookout Mountain had home runs from Nelson Johnston, Davis Purdy, Alex Armstrong and Jack Bosworth.

Other scores were Goodlettsville American 21, Bolivar 0, Goodlettsville National 7, Red Bank 3 and Madisonville 8, Madison North 4.

9-10s on Signal Mountain

Bradley Central defeated Lebanon, 4-3, on Thursday and must beat Madison Central National twice today to earn a berth in the finals. Once beaten Goodlettsville National has the same scenario in the 8-team bracket against rival and unbeaten Goodlettsville American.

Finals: If Madison Central National and Goodlettsville American both win this afternoon, this the first game in the best of three finals will be played at 8 p.m. tonight and continued Saturday night at 6 p.m. with a possible third game at 8 p.m.

7-8s at Red Bank

In the 8-team bracket (Field 2), Lexington American faces Humphreys County at 6 p.m., with the winner facing Goodlettsville National at 7:30 p.m. All three teams have one loss and Goodlettsville drew the bye.
In the 7-team bracket (Field 3), Goodlettsville American faces Summertown at 6 p.m. with the winner facing Madison Central National at 7:30 p.m. All three teams have one loss and Madison Central National drew the bye.

Finals are Saturday at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. with the if necessary game at 1 p.m.

5-6s at Red Bank

Undefeated Goodlettsville American faces Selmer (Field 1) and unbeaten Goodlettsville National faces Loretto (Field 4). Both games start at 6 p.m. The if necessary game(s) will be played at 7:30 p.m.

Finals are Saturday at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. with the if necessary game at 1 p.m.
