Gant, Frazier Arrested On Fraudulent Title Charges
posted July 18, 2008

Chattanooga Police have arrested Winston Gant of Gant's Motors and Buddy Frazier of All About Towing, formerly Absolute Towing, on charges of fraudulent transfer of a motor vehicle and criminal conspiracy.

Police received complaints from citizens of not being able to register vehicles purchased from Gant's Motors. Police said an investigation revealed that Gant and Frazier had conspired to obtain vehicles at auctions and after towing them without applying for titles through the state of Tennessee.

In turn, the vehicles were then sold to new buyers without a title, thereby making it impossible to register the vehicle and claim legal ownership of the automobiles, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone who has had problems registering vehicles purchased from either Gant or Frazier to contact Investigator Glenn Lemley at 423-643-5318 or call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
