Sen. Alexander suggest that the solution to our energy crisis is to drill more and pump less. Wow. I'm impressed. I bet he stayed up late at night to come up with this idea. No, wait. Maybe he plagiarized part of it from 20 years ago when President Carter was sitting at the fireside. Either way, if this is all he can come up with now, he got cheated on his degree from New York University.
Drill more? Who is the dear senator fooling? There are many wells here in this country that have been capped. Why? They try to tell us it's National security? For those of you that don't know any better that is a another word or way of keeping money out of the hands of those who may be a potential political enemies.
Lamar Alexander has drawn enough taxpayer money. This man has been on government welfare for way too long. Its time we sent him the same way we sent welfare mothers during the Clinton administration.

Mr. Durham hits the nail on the head. It's difficult to swallow the fact that we, as taxpayers, pay for such shallow trite from our senators.
Shortly after reading the Senator's comments, I read a short speech quoted from the (former) Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard. Although the speech may be controversial, he, at least, speaks with substance.
