Ruth Ovelle Miller, 90, died on Friday, July 18, 2008.
She was born in DeKalb County, Al., but has lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life. She had worked in retail management until the age of 83 and attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Earl Miller and Julian R. Miller Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband of more than 65 years, Jack Miller; daughter, Susan Shattle, both of Rossville; three sisters; one brother; five grandchildren, Clinton and Kathie Shattle, Cynthia Corley and Kathy and Tony Miller; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother John Andrus and Brohter Henson officiating.
Burial will be held at 2:30 CDT in the McNutt Memorial Cemetery in Portersville, Al.
The family will begin receiving friends after 3 p.m. on Sunday and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
