William Clayton Kay, 71, died on July 11, 2008, in Port St Lucie, Fl.
He was born and raised in Rock Spring, Ga., and graduated from LaFayette High School in 1956. Mr. Kay was a veteran of the Vietnam War, retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant.
Survivors include his son, Marty Kay, Texas; daughters, Cynthia Marcotte, Alabama, and Krystial Comins, Fl.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers, Wilbur Kay and Raymond Kay, both of Rock Spring; sisters, Liz Zornes, Rock Spring, and Sue Shipp, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ezekiel (J.E.) Kay and Alice Payne Kay, brother, David Kay; and sister, Nancy Morgan.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m.
