The Irish band Celtic Crossroads have announced that they will include The Northwest Georgia Band Amphitheater in Ringgold for a stop on their 2008 World Tour on October 10. Celtic Crossroads, a group of seven highly talented multi-instrumentalists, are performing Irish music like never before.

Formed in 2005, Celtic Crossroads honed their craft by staging three seasons of performances in Galway, Ireland to rousing crowds and standing ovations every night. In 2007, the group crossed the Atlantic and unleashed their talent on the American market. Their first US tour saw unprecedented success, with the group's fresh sound successfully revitalizing the image of traditional Irish music around the world. In all, the band performed over 100 performances at premiere locations around the world to a largely sold-out tour.

Celtic Crossroads concerts are a spectacle of talent, displaying how Irish music influenced the global birth of a multitude of musical genres. The group redefines Irish music by going right to the heart of its rhythms, with their inventive arrangements and bass-driven grooves steering Irish acoustic music into surprising new territory. The show itself, incorporating seven world-class musicians, playing over twenty instruments on stage, is a fantastic spectacle. From start to finish you are captivated by a wonderful fusion of musical genres, such as eastern European Gypsy, North American Bluegrass, World Classical and Jazz, and the various forms of Celtic music from around Europe and the rest of the world.

Ticket information will be released in a few days, but they have announced that children under 12 will be admitted free with a paid adult thanks to the sponsorship provided by Northwest Georgia Bank, Ringgold Telephone Company and the Catoosa Foundation for the Performing Arts.
