by T.J. Wright, Lee University
posted July 23, 2008

Chris Sampson, Spanish major at Lee University, has been invited to serve as a youth pastor and worship leader for the Church of God Seminary and a local church in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the summer.

The seminary also awarded him with a travel scholarship to help pay for food and lodging during his time there. In order to raise the rest of the funds for the trip, Mr. Sampson has been preaching in churches around Cleveland.

The director of the seminary, Armando Scevola, chose Mr. Sampson on the basis of his academic standing and a desire for missions.

The trip will last for two months, during which Mr. Sampson will spend his time touring different churches, street evangelizing, and experiencing the local culture. Iglesia de Caballito will be his base church while in Argentina where he will be able to actively participate with the youth.

Mr. Samspon will also get to spend time with the School of Music at the Seminario Biblico Ministerial Argentino and get involved with their programs.
