Howard Roland
Howard Thomas Roland, 85, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at a local hospital.

He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, having served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

Mr. Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Aleksandra Christina Roland.

He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Dianne Roland; son, Don Roland; grandchildren, Clint Roland Adams, LCPL Christopher Roland, Donna Roland, and Tekla Roland; and his beloved dog, Bonnie.

There will be no visitation or services. He will be laid to rest in his hometown of Bayport, Mn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Education Society, 212 N. Highland Park Avenue, Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.
