Last Of County's Original Top 12 Most Wanted Arrested

Maxie James Johnson
Maxie James Johnson who is the last original fugitive on Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Top 12 has been arrested. Authorities in Meriwether County, Ga., working with Hamilton County Sheriff’s Fugitive Division and the U.S. Marshals Office in Chattanooga, located Mr. Johnson at his home in Georgia.

He was wanted on a charge of a rape that took place in 1997. He will be extradited back to the state of Tennessee after a hearing in Georgia.

Replacing Johnson on the list will be Brian Taylor, 6’4” 150 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. He has charges of aggravated assault on police, two counts of felony evading, felony vandalism, felony reckless endangerment and other traffic related charges.

He was last known to live in Flintstone, Ga.
