I would like to take this opportunity to endorse Jim Hammond for sheriff of Hamilton County. I am a former student of Mr. Hammondʼs at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Today, I am a practicing attorney in Chattanooga in part thanks to the education I received from Mr. Hammond.
I am confident that Mr. Hammond, or as I still think of him today, Professor Hammond, will serve Hamilton County with honor and distinction. He will make Hamilton County a safer place and he will do so while respecting our civil liberties.
Best wishes to Professor Hammond and his officers in their up coming administration.
