Fight The Sewer Rate Hike Too
posted August 6, 2008

I would hope that Randy Baker and his rate fighting organization will take a look at the sewer rates. Best I can tell sewer rates have gone up four times in less than two years. That is what is making my water bill go up. I hope your organization will not only stop Tennessee American Water from raising my rates but also protest the city of Chattanooga continuing to raise my sewer rates every six months.

I talked with one of my neighbors who was complaining that their water bill seems to change every month. It appears to us that what is changing on the water bill is the amount of money we are charged by the city of Chattanooga for sewer service. You have to wonder why Tennessee American would put sewer charges on the bill. All the sewer increases just make them look bad. The sewer bill is more than the water.

Thank you Randy Baker for standing up to fight the hike, but please begin fighting all the increases in my sewer bill.
