A longtime Rossville plastic manufacturer will close with the loss of 85 jobs.
Officials of Rexam Plastic said the employees had been notified.
The plant is located at 418 West Lake Ave.
The plant blow molds packaging for diagnostic health-care products.
The London-based consumer packaging giant bought the plastics assets of Owens-Illinois Inc. in the summer of 2007 for $1.8 billion.
The closures are part of Rexam's integration of the plastics assets of Owens-Illinois Inc., which Rexam bought last summer for $1.8 billion.
A plant at West Lafayette, Ind., which employs about 60 is also being closed.
