Rosa Lee Surles Steward, 89, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at home.
She was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Lowndes County, Al.
She is survived by her sons, Mark R. Steward Jr. and Roderick D. Steward; five loving daughters, Annie Ruth (Edward) Williams, Lena Smith, Satann (Charles) Thomas, Iwonta Horton and Ineta Steward; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
She will lie in state after noon on Friday.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
