Tyner Rams Picked To Win 3-2A Football Title

Tyner's Rams have been picked to win the Region 3-2A high school football championship this fall.

The Rams were chosen No. 1 in a coaches survey conducted by and published in Murphy Fair's 2008 Tennesee High School Football Magazine.

1. Tyner
2. Boyd-Buchanan
3. Marion County
4. Sequatchie County
5. Bledsoe County

2007 Final Standings

1. Tyner, 4-0, 7-5
2. Boyd-Buchanan, 3-1, 4-7
3. Bledsoe County, 2-2, 4-7
4. Marion County, 1-3, 5-5
5. Sequatchie County, 0-4, 1-9

Tyner coach Wayne Turner returns after undergoing heart surgery. He has a solid team, led by preseason all-state pick Michael Poarch.

At Boyd-Buchanan, Nic Hughes tries to return at quarterback after suffering a knee injury inthe season opener last year.

Bledsoe County finishes strong last season, almost upsetting Donelson Christian in the first round of the state playoffs.

Marion County looks to improve this season under new coach Troy Boeck.

Sequatchie County also has a new coach in Chad Barger.
