Chattanooga’s Live Music Scene: Tiffany Lynn & Eleventh Hour Band
by Bob Payne WWW.MYSPACE.COM/DAVRIK
posted August 14, 2008

This week’s highlighted music act is Tiffany Lynn and the Eleventh Hour Band. I saw them at Riverbend this year and have been hoping to get them on my schedule again. Well, this Saturday we’ll go see them at Deadwood Station in Red Bank. Deadwood is a cool venue, with the stage and seating area outside, yet all under a tin roof. They even have a jail cell, along with a jury box. It’s set up like a rustic wild-west saloon and is a really fun place. It’s also “the” place to be, with local celebrity sightings there on a regular basis. Last week I spotted internationally known sculptor John Henry, and a couple local radio/tv personalities. And, of course the goofy guy that writes this column has been spotted a couple times. Come to have fun, and wear a necktie just to see what happens.

Riverbend billed Tiffany Lynn as “Bad Girl Country.” Well, “bad girls” will always have a special place in my heart, so I like that moniker. I can also tell you that the band is “bad”. Bad in a good way, mind you. And Tiffany is “bad” also. In a good way. Of course.

So what makes a “bad” band bad in a good way, you ask? (Say that three times real fast.) Talented musicians. Tiffany is backed up by Reverend Tate on lead guitar, Miranda Skye on bass guitar, Robert Allen on rhythm guitar, and Rodney Scott on drums. They list their influences as Sara Evans, Chet Atkins, Waylon Jennings, and Peter Kriss. Not a bad bunch of folks to have influence your music. Reverend can hit some licks on his guitar and the others are real pro’s too. They play a mix of original songs and some old favorites. They sounded great at Riverbend, so I am betting Saturday night will be a good time.

You can hear samples of their music and view their upcoming schedule at click here.

It is my belief that live is better, so I’ll see you at Deadwood on Saturday night!
